At Scotsman, we enhanced our TouchFree icemaker/water dispenser inside and out with new, sleek, European styling and a 25% reduction in fan noise. Our new TouchFree dispensers are perfect for the quietest hallway or the busiest cafeteria. Plus, we improved the dispensing area on our smaller units to accommodate a greater variety of containers.

Specifically designed to meet the strict requirements of health care facilities, the Scotsman TouchFree icemaker/water dispenser is becoming a favorite for patient care, food service and laboratories. The TouchFree MDT5N25, MDT5N40 and MDT6N90 produce from 500-757 lbs. of soft, chewable nugget ice, while the MDT3F12 and MDT4F12 produce from 250-450 lbs. of flake ice. Our recently introduced new MDT2C12 TouchFree unit dispenses cubelet ice, which is a harder, slow-melting, ice form that allows for more reliable and easier dispensing. All three ice forms are a favorite for patient care as well as beverages.

The TouchFree dispensers eliminate the use of levers and buttons because of its unique infrared sensor design that determines when to dispense ice or water. The MDT2C12 has an unique infrared sensor design that determines when to dispense ice, water or both. Since there is no physical contact with the surfaces of the machine, the risk of cross-contamination is dramatically reduced. The TouchFree Icemaker/Water Dispensers comply with the most stringent requirements of the National Sanitation Foundation and the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
